Doctor Who: Series 9 Posters [Fanmade]

Monday, February 19, 2018

Here are some fanmade posters I found prior to Series 9, I stopped posting for a while so that is why they were not uploaded.

I have updated some of these.

This is brilliant! I like to think i'm arty but not to this standard. I think this is brilliant. Can they design the official posters in future?

I really like this. I find it very amusing. It is by the same artist as the one above and both are amazing. I love the Roman numerals fitting with the Back To The Future theme along with the rest of the poster.

This image has done the rounds over social media. I remember people thinking it was official. This is a brilliant poster. I like the use of the Maze from The Maze Runner in the background.

I like the faded London and Gallifrey in the background it very fitting. The colours fit well leaving The Doctor to stand out.

This is quite a simple post but I feel it works just as well. The pictures are from either Series 8 (Missy) for the 50th (Clara).

There were loads more to get through, but I thought i'd end here just in case I ever decide to post more.

Till next time

Broadchurch series 2 cast confirmed: David Tennant returning

Monday, May 12, 2014

David Tennant and Olivia Colman will both return to Broadchurch for series two, it has been announced.

Jodie Whittaker (Beth Latimer), Andrew Buchan (Mark Latimer) and Arthur Darvill (Rev. Paul Coates) are also confirmed for the next run.

Tennant (DI Alec Hardy) previously signed up to star in Gracepoint - a US remake of Broadchurch - calling into question his continued participation with the original show.

However, it has now been confirmed that the Scottish actor will appear concurrently in both the UK and US versions of the series.

"We're delighted Broadchurch is back in production, but we're remaining tight-lipped about how the story develops," said ITV's director of drama, Steve November.

"Suffice to say Chris [Chibnall] has delivered as always and the scripts are just as exciting as the first series."

Broadchurch will resume filming in Dorset soon, with the remainder of series two's cast to be announced in the near future.

Agents of S.H.E.L.D renewed for Season 2, Agent Carter Ordered

Friday, May 9, 2014

ABC is ramping up its portfolio of Marvel shows by renewing Agents of SHIELD for a second season and ordering a Captain America spinoff.

Hayley Atwell will reprise her role as Peggy Carter in the new series, billed as Marvel's Agent Carter.

The 32-year-old first appeared as the character in 2011 film Captain America: The First Avenger and later appeared in the role for Marvel One-Shot: Agent Carter.

"It's 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalised when the men return home from fighting abroad," ABC's official description reads.

"Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life – Steve Rogers."

Michele Fazekas, Tara Butters, Steve McFeely, Christopher Marcus and Jeph Loeb will serve as executive producers on the series.

It is not clear how long Marvel's Agent Carter will run for, although writers have previously claimed that it will probably be limited to 13 episodes or fewer.

Heroes Reborn to have online prequel

Thursday, April 17, 2014

The upcoming reboot of Heroes will launch alongside an online prequel to the series.

NBC announced on Tuesday (April 15) that Heroes Reborn: Digital Series will be among the first series to premiere on the network's website as part of its new original online video push.

"It's exciting to bring original content to the forefront on all of our digital platforms," said Robert Hayes, executive vice president, Digital Media, NBC Entertainment.

"We are lucky to once again be in business with some of the top producers in Hollywood making new content to further engage fans."

NBC announced its intention to revive Heroes in February, though it is still unclear if any previous cast members will return for the new 13-part run.

Robert Knepper, however, has revealed that he is keen to reprise his role of Samuel in the new limited series.

Heroes Reborn will premiere on NBC in 2015.

Heroes is Coming Back: Heroes Reborn Mini-Series Coming To NBC In 2015

Sunday, February 23, 2014

During coverage of the Winter Olympics last night, NBC decided to surprise viewers with a teaser trailer for a new series of Heroes.  As it turns out this will be a standalone mini series consisting of 13 episodes. No Characters or storylines have been announced as yet.

Here's a bit more information:
“The enormous impact Heroes had on the television landscape when it first launched in 2006 was eye-opening,” said NBC Entertainment  President Jennifer Salke. “Shows with that kind of resonance don’t come around often and we thought it was time for another installment. We’re thrilled that visionary creator Tim Kring was as excited about jumping back into this show as we were and we look forward to all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept. Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won’t rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in.”
The original series chronicled the life-changing stories of a series of unrelated ordinary people who discovered they had superhuman abilities. As the saga unfolded, they learned they were part of a grand plan that brought them together to change the world.
With the return of Heroes Reborn, NBC will launch a digital series prior to the 2015 premiere that will introduce the characters and new storylines.
Heres the teaser trailer that was released!

Doctor Who series 9 to air in 2015, says Steven Moffat

Friday, January 10, 2014

Steven Moffat has stated that a ninth series of Doctor Who will air next year.

Like the show's upcoming eighth series, the 2015 episodes will air as a single uninterrupted run, Moffat told Doctor Who Magazine.

"We're not going to do splits [in series eight], and the same format will repeat exactly the following year like that - so it will be the traditional form," said the sci-fi drama's head writer.

Doctor Who's eighth series - the first to star Peter Capaldi as the Doctor - is expected to air on BBC One from August.

Filming on the new episodes began this week, with a first-look image of Capaldi on-set with co-star Jenna Coleman (Clara) unveiled on Tuesday (January 7).

The first two instalments will be helmed by Sightseers director Ben Wheatley.

Doctor Who Magazine issue 469 is out now.
