The new walkthrough is currently in the early planning stages, with an exact date for the revamp yet to be set, a BBC spokesperson told Digital Spy.

The Doctor Who Experience originally opened in London in February 2011 and moved to Cardiff in July 2012.

Channel 4 has confirmed a return date for Marvel's Agents of SHIELD.

The comic book drama - which has been on hiatus in the UK since December - will return on Friday, March 14 at 8pm.

Season one will resume with episode 11 - 'The Magical Place' - in which Coulson (Clark Gregg) learns the shocking truth about his resurrection.

Marvel's Agents of SHIELD has aired 13 episodes in the US - where it airs on ABC - with the 14th instalment set to air on Tuesday, March 4.

Series star Gregg recently defended the show's US ratings, which have declined since the pilot episode aired in September last year.

"If you look at how well our show is doing in those numbers, I'm quite encouraged, especially because we aren't Tony Stark and Thor," the actor said. "We're a bunch of new people and Agent Coulson, the supporting player from those [Marvel] films."

Doctor Who casts Emmerdale's Samuel Anderson as new recurring character

Monday, February 24, 2014

Samuel Anderson has joined the cast of Doctor Who.

The Emmerdale actor will play a recurring character in the upcoming eighth series, which introduces Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor.

Anderson will play Danny Pink, a teacher who works alongside Clara Oswald (Jenna Coleman) at Coal Hill School.

The actor said of joining the show: "I was so excited to join Doctor Who I wanted to jump and click my heels, but I was scared I might not come down before filming started

"It's a quintessential part of British culture and I can't believe I'm part of it. It's an honour to be able to work alongside Peter Capaldi and Jenna Coleman and I can't wait to show people how my character becomes involved with such a fantastic duo!"

Writer and producer Steven Moffat added: "For the fourth time in Doctor Who history, Coal Hill School is coming to the aid of the TARDIS. In 1963 teachers Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright accompanied the First Doctor. These days it's the turn of Jenna Coleman as Clara Oswald.

"And very soon now, Sam Anderson as Danny Pink will be entering the world of the Doctor. But how and why? Answers are coming later this year in Peter Capaldi's first series of Doctor Who!"

It has also been announced that Robert Goodman (Game of Thrones), Jonathan Bailey (Broadchurch) and Pippa Bennett-Warner (Death in Paradise) will guest star in the upcoming series.

Anderson, who played policeman Ross Kirk in Emmerdale from 2007 to 2009, originate the role of Crowther in Alan Bennett's The History Boys and has also appeared in Gavin & Stacey.

Doctor Who's eighth series is shooting in Cardiff and will debut on BBC One in late 2014.

Heroes is Coming Back: Heroes Reborn Mini-Series Coming To NBC In 2015

During coverage of the Winter Olympics last night, NBC decided to surprise viewers with a teaser trailer for a new series of Heroes.  As it turns out this will be a standalone mini series consisting of 13 episodes. No Characters or storylines have been announced as yet.

Here's a bit more information:
“The enormous impact Heroes had on the television landscape when it first launched in 2006 was eye-opening,” said NBC Entertainment  President Jennifer Salke. “Shows with that kind of resonance don’t come around often and we thought it was time for another installment. We’re thrilled that visionary creator Tim Kring was as excited about jumping back into this show as we were and we look forward to all the new textures and layers Tim plans to add to his original concept. Until we get closer to air in 2015, the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won’t rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in.”
The original series chronicled the life-changing stories of a series of unrelated ordinary people who discovered they had superhuman abilities. As the saga unfolded, they learned they were part of a grand plan that brought them together to change the world.
With the return of Heroes Reborn, NBC will launch a digital series prior to the 2015 premiere that will introduce the characters and new storylines.
Heres the teaser trailer that was released!

Summer Broadcast for Doctor Who Series 8?

Is Series 8 of Doctor Who going to air slightly earlier than originally thought?

Previous reports have pointed to an Autumn air date but Ben Wheatley, director of the first two episodes of Series 8, might have indicated that the show could be back sooner

In a recent interview with Uproxx Wheatley briefly mentions Doctor Who stating:

“I’ve got two more weeks shooting Doctor Who, which hopefully is going to go in July.”

Of course his wording is a little open to interpretation and scheduling frequently changes, but let’s hope it’s sooner rather than later.

Doctor Who star Matt Smith: I don't want Capaldi to have Alex Kingston

Wednesday, February 12, 2014

Doctor Who star Matt Smith has admitted that he is "really possessive" over Alex Kingston's River Song.

Smith told fans at New Orleans Comic Con that he asked showrunner Steven Moffat not to write scenes between River and Peter Capaldi's new Doctor.

"I said this to Steven, I was like, 'Listen, just don't. Just not Alex. Anyone else, but don't give him River' - but Peter is the Doctor now so hey, what can I do?" DoctorWhoTV quotes Smith as saying.

Smith added that he expects Moffat to "reinvent the folklore" of the series during Capaldi's tenure.

"I think that Steven will be planning things that are going to unfold over years," he said. "I think he'll reinvent the folklore, and it will become Peter's folklore.

"But I am really proud of the fact that Alex was part of number Eleven's life. My wife!"

Capaldi's first full series of Doctor Who will air on BBC One in late 2014.

Steven Moffat: 'I'll quit Doctor Who before I quit Sherlock'

Sunday, February 9, 2014

Steven Moffat has insisted that there is no end in sight for Sherlock.

The writer told Assignment X that while he will eventually give up his showrunner role on Doctor Who, he has no such plans for BBC One's hit detective drama.

"Eventually, I'll stop doing Doctor Who because it stops me doing anything else," Moffat said. "But Sherlock doesn't swamp my schedule.

"I could imagine we'll come back and do Sherlock fairly often for many years, rather than very often for a few years."

Moffat is currently developing a fourth and fifth series of Sherlock with series co-creator Mark Gatiss.

The BAFTA-winner has also written Doctor Who's series eight premiere, currently shooting in Wales under director Ben Wheatley.

Peter Capaldi's new Doctor Who 'more like classic series'

Wednesday, February 5, 2014

Peter Capaldi's Doctor Who episodes have been compared to the "classic" era of the show.

Ben Wheatley - who is directing the first two instalments of series eight - told io9 that the show is "going back to that style".

"To have a unity that runs eight years... it's pretty crazy," said Wheatley. "It seems to me the episodes that we're doing now seem more like classic Who."

The A Field in England filmmaker also described his leading man Capaldi as "a massive Who fan" who knows the series "inside out".

"He's so good," the director said. "You look at his career and you look at his performances... they are all so brilliant, and all so different as well. It was a lucky break for me, I think."

Capaldi's official Doctor Who debut will be penned by Steven Moffat, with The Sarah Jane Adventures writer Phil Ford scripting Wheatley's second episode.

Doctor Who will return to BBC One in late 2014.

Doctor Who: Ben Wheatley's "savage streak" won't filter through

Kill List director Ben Wheatley is not setting out to change Doctor Who, actor Reece Shearsmith has insisted.

The British filmmaker is currently shooting the first two episodes of Doctor Who's eighth series - the first to star Peter Capaldi as the Doctor.

Shearsmith - who worked with Wheatley on his 2013 effort A Field in England - told Digital Spy: "I think [Ben] thought it would be an exciting project to get his teeth into.

"He's learning all the time and I think he thought it would be a good challenge to do it. It's [also] very prestigious to do Capaldi's inaugural episodes."

Shearsmith added that Wheatley is not "setting out to put his stamp" on the BBC sci-fi drama, but simply "wants to do a good job of telling the story".

"I'm not sure that you could ever somehow visually taint it with your style," he suggested.

"Maybe it'd be different if he was writing it as well. There's a very abrupt and savage streak in Ben's work, but I don't think it will quite filter through... with a Who script."
